Join the Greater San Fernando Valley Chamber of Commerce for the Valley’s gala event – Feeling Groovy – the 96^th Inaugural Ball on March 28, 2008.

Set in the era of Kool and the Gang, Charlie’s Angels, 8-tracks, and Tab cola, Feeling Groovy will flash back to the nostalgia of the 70s.

Cocktail hours features the cool tunes of local band Flashback and entertainment for the night features Captain Cardiac and the Coronaries – the greatest oldies rock and roll show band… anywhere! Their high-voltage performances worldwide have been enjoyed worldwide and have performed at three Super Bowls.

The Chamber brings this 70s tribute to Braemar Country Club in Tarzana. This gala event serves as an introduction to the Chamber’s season of activities. Outgoing board chairman of the new Greater San Fernando Valley Chamber – Rick Pohl (Time Warner) will be honored for launching the new Greater San Fernando Valley Chamber, and Shirl Powell (Department of Water and Power) will be installed along with her directors and officers for the 2008-2009 year.

The Chamber will honor a business and individual at the Feeling Groovy event. Dave Newman Advertising will be the recipients of the Chairman’s Award of Distinction – an honor bestowed on the company for their key role in transforming the Chamber to the regional organization it has become. Ken Keller of Renaissance Executive Forums will be the first recipient of the Chamber’s new Spirit Award; an honor bestowed upon an individual for their spirit and dedication to the Greater San Fernando Valley Chamber of Commerce.

Fasten your seat belts, get ready for take off and get set to blast into the past at the Feeling Groovy on March 28. Black Tie and Boogie Shoes optional.
